Role: Art Director, Motion and UX Designer
Created for YouTube and Hulu apps on Xbox 360
While at Xbox, I managed how third-party apps behaved using native Dashboard UX. YouTube and Hulu were at the top of the list, so our team tackled those first for the holiday release of 2012.
In a tight collaboration between developers, researchers, and UX leads, I was responsible for creating a seamless visual experience that mimicked the main Xbox interface. This involved reverse-engineering of navigational paradigms, motion specs, and visual patterns. I bounced between wireframes, visual comps, and motion flows for each design cycle.
The most interesting part of this process was sitting next to developers, learning how to convert keyframes and how to ease interpolations into milliseconds and bell curves.
