Role: Art Director
Google NEXT was a significant project in scope and scale. I collaborated with several teams across two agencies, in addition to Google's own internal design team. It was a very busy time leading up to the event. When event day arrived, a bunch of us set up camp behind the main stage for all three days of the event, continuously cranking out new design, animation, and speaker intros. It was both exhilarating and exhausting.
I learned new design methods to accommodate the unique-shaped display segments illustrated above. Several different overlays informed how one image was displaced across three projectors with separate dimensions, which was then seamlessly shown on stage.
